Rev. Denise Wilson
- Founder/
President
Rev. Denise Wilson is a native of Middleburg, Virginia. She is an
ordained Associate Minister of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church located in Herndon, Virginia, where the Rev. Dr. James L. Graham, Jr.
is Senior Pastor. Denise has been using her gifts and talents in gospel
music for over 30 years.
She accepted the Call to the Ministry in September 2004. Rev. Wilson has degrees in Biblical Studies and Christian
Education from Faith Christian University and a Masters of Arts in Theology from Newburgh Theological Seminary. She
welcomes the opportunity to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all through the gifts that God has given
her as a preacher, teacher, facilitator, seminar coordinator, workshop leader, choral director
and psalmist.
In obedience to the vision
given her by the Holy Spirit, Denise has founded the Wilson
Ministry Foundation,
an evangelistic organization. As such, this
organization
is devoted exclusively to declaring and making applicable the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world as He commanded in
Matthew 28: 19-20. To this spiritual end, such tools as preaching, teaching, praying and holistic ministry are
employed.
The mission of the Wilson Ministry Foundation is to evangelize those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, through
its member's God
given gifts and talents. The
Metro Mass Choir, which
she founded in 2006, is just one of the growing outreach evangelism
ministries created to accomplish this mission. The
ministry also engages in the facilitation, coordination, and
leadership of seminars and
conference workshops. In addition to these ministry
opportunities, she continually seeks to support her partner's initiatives to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and/or disassociated.
Because of her strong commitment to the unity within the
body of Christ, she seeks to assist and provide support for other outreach programs
in a meaningful way; that the saving power of Jesus Christ will be spread throughout the
world.
Her vision includes the life of Christ being manifested in the areas of human need, inclusive of, but not limited to,
feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, equipping the underprivileged and contributing to the positive development of the
identity, sensitivity and affirmation of as many people as possible.
She has participated in
many Gospel Workshops around the country. In
Juneof 2008, she was honored as the first minister on
PreachingWoman.com Kingdom Watch section as a “Preacher to
Watch”. She has
also been a guest on Heaven1580am on Crosstalk with Marsha
Sumner.
She is married to James H. Wilson, Jr. and they have four children: Nykea, Dwight, Tiffany, and Janae.
They also have
one grandson, Khalil.
Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to
you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
